New Collaboration in RFID Technology
ADDED: 6/12/2009 7:28:00 AM
MET Laboratories, AIM Global (Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility) and Georgia Tech are proud to announce their partnership to create the Healthcare Test Protocols Initiative. The devices that will be included in this study will be medical devices (i.e. pacemakers) and clinical instruments (i.e. pumps, MRI). The devices will be tested to determine if the RF emitted causes any negative affects and under what conditions these effects occur. This study will establish baseline requirements for the operation of RF in a medical setting. Once complete, the test protocols will be submitted to the FDA and a certification program will be established.
