MET "delivers" Hardware Certification and Performance Test Center accreditation on-time to EPCglobal for a major announcement at their annual conference.

MET Labs, the official testing provider for the EPCglobal Hardware Certification program successfully completed testing of seven companies, and ten pieces of Gen 2 hardware as meeting EPCglobal UHF Gen 2 standard protocol. The companies and hardware were given compliance certificates at the EPCglobal US Conference 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia World Congress Center, September 14th. This was the first event in the world to feature and award companies that completed the EPCglobal Hardware Certification Program.
Additionally, MET completed facility assessments of four testing centers, as part of the EPCglobal Global Performance Test Center Accreditation Program. The sites, one in Germany., one in Taiwan and two in the United States have been accredit as sites using a standard set of performance test profiles to simulate real-world conditions in testing the readability of end-user products tagged with EPC certified tags. Those facilities were also recognized at the EPCglobal conference in Atlanta.
Facing a tight deadline, MET was able to to both perform in-house laboratory testing of GEN 2 hardware and perform at facility inspections for test center accreditation in the United States, Europe and Taiwan, during the month leading up to the conference.
