ADDED: 5/17/2010 12:58:00 PM
MET Laboratories is starting Phase I of a large field evaluation and labeling job for a multinational oil company in Texas. Phase I will cover the inspection and serialized field labeling of 154 pieces of uncertified hard-wired equipment.
Phase II & III, to follow, includes the evaluation and labeling of uncertified cord- and plug-connected equipment.
MET Labs' customer is committed to complying with the local and state requirements for assessment of their equipment, to protect their staff from unseen electrical hazards. Historically, more than 50% of equipment evaluated in the field has some potential of a shock, fire, energy, mechanical, chemical, or radiation hazard.
