Verizon Approves MET for Thermal Modeling

MET Labs Baltimore recently underwent a two day intensive audit by Verizon Communications as part of the Verizon Independent Testing Laboratory (ITL) process. As a result of this audit, MET Labs Baltimore retains its existing status as an Independent Testing Laboratory to GR-63, GR-487, GR-1089, and VZ.TPR.9205 (Energy Efficiency Requirements for Telecommunications Equipment). Additionally, MET is happy to report, Verizon has approved MET as an Independant Testing Laboratory (ITL) for Thermal Modeling Simulation and Testing to :
- VZ.TPR.9208 Thermal Management Requirements for Improved Energy Efficiency of Telecommuncations Equipment, Issue 1, July 2009
- VZ.TPR.9602 Checklist for TMST ITL and Supplier Lab Audit, Issue 1, January 2010
Verizon will require its vendors to show compliance to its thermal management requirements starting July 2010.
MET is extremely proud to claim it is the only ITL approved by Verizon under both its NEBS TESTING CERTIFICATION PROGRAM (TCP) and its THERMAL MODELING SIMULATION AND TESTING (TMST) PROGRAM.
