MET's New Partnership with NSF International

MET Laboratories, the first Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) in the United States, today announced a new strategic partnership with NSF International, a leading public health and safety organization that writes standards and certifies products for food, water and consumer goods.
MET Laboratories will be able to take advantage of NSF International's 65 years of standards writing and certification experience. MET will also benefit from NSF's global presence, with 45 office locations in over 26 countries, including China, Japan, India, South Korea, and Thailand. NSF International and MET Laboratories can help clients save time and resources by bundling both their electrical safety and health effects testing, while also helping to deliver a safer product to market.
Partnering with MET Laboratories, a leader in electrical product safety for more than 50 years, will expand the scope of NSF International's electrical testing and certification services. Key industry sectors will benefit from this partnership, including commercial and residential food equipment, recreational water equipment for pools and spas, mechanical plumbing devices, and biosafety cabinets.

"MET Laboratories has extensive experience in testing electrical systems and is uniquely qualified to partner with NSF International. Together, we will provide certification services that cover electrical, sanitation and health effects requirements for products such as food equipment, mechanical plumbing, and pool and spa equipment."
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) recognizes both NSF International and MET Laboratories as Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL). OSHA accreditation enables both companies to provide electrical safety certification to all electrical standards, including foodservice-related UL standards.
